Bosch M(G) 7.9.8 - the OBDII
This module is designed to record the FLASH memory and ECU M7.9.8 MG7.9.8 programming unit via the OBDII connector. Communication control unit takes place via the CAN bus via a J2534 compatible device.
ECU supports the following programming modes:
Record FLASH, view the computer certificate
Record FLASH, view the computer certificate
attention! Because not all computer firmware Bosch M7.9.8 , MG7.9.8 interchangeable among themselves a foreign EEPROM write operation (based on the other software versions) can lead to the fact that the computer can not be started after the recording.
In this case, the control unit can restore Bosch M7.9.8 module. However, in this case it is necessary to remove and disassemble the computer.
ChipLoader loader performs a series of operations to determine the firmware compatibility, but does not account for all the options.
The size of the firmware FLASH memory Bosch M7.9.8, MG7.9.8 - 832 KB (851,968 bytes).
To configure the computer to work with the data there is a separate tab in the program settings window:

Repeatedly flashing the ECU recommend that you select the option "Record only calibration control unit Bosch M (G) 7.9.8". This will speed up the process of rewriting the firmware.
Operation record only for calibration of the unit is completely safe. In case of failure you can always redo the recording operation by OBDII connector. However, in some cases, after the failure in recording calibration to establish communication with the ECU is required to disconnect it briefly for a few seconds.
In the case of the recording field calibration and region by unsafe site to record is to record addresses of 0x0000-0x8000 range. If an error occurs during recording of the site need to recover the computer using a Bosch M7.9.8 module with the removal and disassembly of the computer.
